Responsible AI Policy

RONGOshield uses artificial intelligence to assist human coordinators — not to replace them. This policy explains how we develop, deploy, and govern AI within our platform.

Effective Date: 4 August 2026 · Last updated: 4 August 2026

GoRONGO Private Limited is committed to the responsible, ethical, and transparent use of artificial intelligence within the RONGOshield platform. This policy describes our principles and practices for AI use in safety coordination operations.

Our Core Principles

Human-Led Coordination

Every operational decision is made by a trained human professional. AI assists — it does not command.

Privacy by Design

Personal and operational data is handled with the minimum necessary access, stored securely, and never used beyond its intended coordination purpose.

Transparency

We are open about how AI is used within our platform, what it can and cannot do, and where human judgment takes precedence.

Accountability

GoRONGO Private Limited takes responsibility for the AI systems we deploy. We do not disclaim accountability by attributing decisions to automated systems.

Continuous Improvement

We continuously evaluate and improve our AI systems to ensure they remain accurate, fair, and aligned with our operational and ethical standards.

Ethical AI

We do not use AI in ways that discriminate, exploit, or cause harm. Our AI systems are designed to support human safety and dignity.

1. The Role of AI in RONGOshield

RONGOshield uses two AI-assisted systems within its platform: STOMIAS (Situational Threat and Operational Multi-Intelligence Assessment System) and ORCA (Operational Response Coordination Architecture).

STOMIAS processes real-time situational data — including location signals, environmental context, and incident information — to provide the Coordination Team with structured situational awareness. It identifies patterns, surfaces relevant information, and supports coordinators in assessing developing situations.

ORCA structures the flow of information between the platform, the Coordination Team, and the verified partner network. It supports coordination sequencing and resource allocation recommendations.

Neither STOMIAS nor ORCA makes autonomous operational decisions. Both systems exist to give trained human coordinators better information, faster — so they can make more informed decisions.

2. Human Oversight and Control

Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) design is a core architectural principle of the RONGOshield platform. Every decision that affects a user's safety — including whether to escalate a situation, contact a user, or dispatch a response team — is made by a trained human coordinator.

AI recommendations are presented to coordinators as supporting information, not as directives. Coordinators are trained to apply professional judgment and may override, disregard, or escalate beyond any AI-generated recommendation.

We do not deploy fully autonomous AI agents in operational safety coordination. The use of AI in RONGOshield is bounded, supervised, and subject to continuous human review.

3. AI Does Not Replace Emergency Services

RONGOshield's AI systems are designed to support coordinated safety response — not to replace statutory emergency services. In any life-threatening situation, users should always contact the relevant emergency services first: Police (100 / 112), Ambulance (108), Fire (101).

Our AI systems do not have the authority, capability, or mandate to dispatch police, ambulance, or fire services. RONGOshield coordinates verified private response as a complementary layer of safety support alongside — not instead of — statutory emergency services.

4. AI Recommendations Require Human Verification

AI-generated assessments and recommendations within the RONGOshield platform are treated as inputs to human decision-making, not as final determinations. Coordinators are required to verify AI-surfaced information before acting on it.

We acknowledge that AI systems can produce errors, incomplete assessments, or outputs that require contextual correction. Our operational protocols are designed to ensure that human coordinators catch and correct such errors before they affect operational outcomes.

5. Privacy-First AI Design

Personal and operational data processed by our AI systems is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law. Data is collected only to the extent necessary for coordination purposes and is not used to train external AI models or shared with third-party AI platforms without appropriate safeguards.

Location data, incident data, and user communications processed during a safety event are treated with the highest level of confidentiality. Access is restricted to authorised personnel with a legitimate operational need.

6. Secure Handling of Operational Information

Operational data processed by STOMIAS and ORCA is stored and transmitted using appropriate security controls. We implement access controls, encryption in transit, and audit logging for operational data flows.

We conduct regular reviews of our AI systems' security posture and update our controls in response to identified risks or changes in the threat landscape.

7. Continuous Improvement

We are committed to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of our AI systems. This includes reviewing the accuracy and reliability of AI outputs, assessing whether AI recommendations are aligned with operational outcomes, identifying and addressing potential biases or failure modes, and incorporating feedback from coordinators and operational experience.

We do not treat our AI systems as complete or infallible. Improvement is a continuous process, not a one-time achievement.

8. Transparency

We are transparent about the role of AI in our platform. We do not misrepresent AI capabilities, overstate the autonomy of our systems, or use AI as a shield against accountability.

This Responsible AI Policy is publicly available and will be updated as our AI systems evolve. We welcome questions and feedback about our AI practices at [email protected].

9. Ethical and Responsible AI Principles

GoRONGO Private Limited is committed to developing and deploying AI in a manner that is ethical, fair, and aligned with human values. We do not use AI to discriminate against individuals on the basis of protected characteristics. We do not use AI to surveil, profile, or exploit users beyond what is necessary for safety coordination.

We recognise that AI in safety-critical applications carries significant responsibility. We take that responsibility seriously and hold ourselves accountable to the principles set out in this policy.
